Neurodivergent Parent/Carer Support & Psychoeducation Group

This is an online, 8-week structured support and psychoeducation program specifically designed for parents and carers who are raising a neurodivergent (ND) child.

Why this Group?

Parenting a neurodivergent child often comes with unique challenges, including navigating sensory differences, emotional regulation difficulties, communication barriers, and the feeling of isolation. This group provides a safe, non-judgmental space to connect with others who truly understand, while also equipping you with practical, evidence-based tools to foster a more harmonious home environment.

Facilitated by Stacey Frost

The group is professionally facilitated by Stacey Frost, an experienced practitioner dedicated to supporting neurodivergent families. Stacey brings a blend of clinical knowledge and a deeply empathetic approach to guide Mamas through the curriculum.

What You Will Learn and Practice Over 8 Weeks:

The 8-week program is designed to move you and your family from a place of chronic stress and chaos toward a greater sense of calm, understanding, and connection. Each week builds upon the last, providing a comprehensive framework for support. You will gain:Deep-Dive Psychoeducation on the Neurodivergent Brain:

  • Gain a foundational understanding of the neurological differences that impact your child's behaviour, perception, and emotional responses (e.g., executive function, sensory processing, and emotional dysregulation).

  • Learn to shift from viewing challenging behaviours as willful defiance to understanding it as communication and a response to nervous system state.

  • Practical Techniques to Support Your Neurodivergent Child’s Nervous System:

    • Discover and implement strategies to co-regulate with your child, helping them move out of fight, flight, or freeze responses.

    • Learn how to identify environmental triggers and modify your home life to create a more supportive sensory landscape.

    • Develop skills in 'calm-coaching' your child through intense emotions.

  • Troubleshooting Specific Hard Times for You and Your Child:

    • Address common high-stress situations such as transitions, meltdowns, homework battles, and social challenges.

    • Develop low-demand strategies tailored to your child’s unique profile and your family’s dynamics.

    • Learn effective communication models that reduce conflict and enhance connection.

  • A Pathway from Chaos to Calm in Your Home Life:

    • Shift your parenting paradigm from traditional, compliance-focused methods to a neurodiversity-affirming approach deeply connected in compassion and understanding.

    • Implement small, sustainable changes that result in a significant reduction in overall family stress and overwhelm.

    • Build confidence in your ability to be the secure base your child needs, fostering long-term resilience and emotional well-being for everyone in the family.

Join us to transform your understanding, your approach, and your home life from chaos to calm.
