Children & Adolescents
Specialising in neurodivergence, learning & behaviour

I specialise and have extensive experience in working with children and teens that have learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties, children with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), I refer to ADHDer’s and autistic kids as neurodiverse.
I offer research based therapeutic support and skill building, specialising in those experiencing multiple complex issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, life changes, adjusting to “covid life”, low self esteem and sleeping issues. My treatment goals are tailored to individual needs and typically include understanding feelings and emotions, appropriate expression of emotions, enhancing emotional regulation, communication, self confidence, parent and child interactions. I offer therapy that aims to meet goals through teaching skills that are carried over into home, school or daycare settings as well as advocating and making accommodations at these places.
I offer psychoeducation in a fun and interactive environment, I love teaching kids how their brain works to empower them and embrace their own uniqueness. I utilise games, play and art therapy techniques, narrative therapy and I LOVE reading picture story books together.
I have a special interest in helping neurodivergent (autistic and attention variant) children. I nurture (and help you as the mother) your child across all developmental stages, enhancing or adapting educational needs and advocating for your child's holistic health and wellbeing. I guide you through initial assessment where we can understand your child’s developmental profile and reveal their unique strengths and challenges. Through therapy we can build your unique toolbox and I will guide you until you're confident enough to walk on your own.

What Clients Say
Carol McKenzie
Morther of 3
Stacey has been a guiding light for both my son and myself as we have navigated our way from being given a dual ADHD and Autism diagnosis. From a position of feeling overwhelmed and confused of how best to move forward Stacey was able to give honest practical and relatable advice and support.
Kylie Kent
Director - Silkwood Family Day Care
Stacey has been such a wonderful influence on my child and has been a real gift to my family. My daughter is excited for each session and I can see a positive change in the way she views herself and the impact she has on her life and that of others. Stacey truly sees my child and intuitively adjusts her approach to what will work best in the moment. Such flexibility and insight is rare. What a treasure you are, Stacey!
Lauren Mclauchlan
Family Services Practitioner - Anglicare
Stacey is amazing. I have been struggling with a high needs, school refusing child and feeling very isolated and overwhelmed with not knowing what to do. Stacey has given me fantastic advice and activities we can do at home that have really helped.
We always leave Stacey's office feeling happier, in control and ready to get started on suggestions for home.
