Our feelings are always changing, when kids say “I had a bad day today”, it is useful to open up their understanding to realise that one bad thing happening does not equal a bad day. Often kids may act out because they cannot describe what they’re feeling, especially our neurosparklies… It is exceptionally tricky after a big day at school. This is designed to help kids figure out exactly what they feel to understand the cause of that emotion and learn how to respond or cope.

Explain to the child that they will be using the Daily Mood Chart to track how they felt throughout the day

  • Discuss different emotions and what they might look or feel like. Provide examples and use other visual aids, I have lots available!
